Gateway Pediatric Surgery Center

Gateway Pediatric Surgery Center specializes in the surgical treatment of children between the ages of 2 years and 8 years old. This facility is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) accredited by theAAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care). The AAAHC is “the leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality care, and value for ambulatory health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education, and research." In order to meet the AAAHC Standards, the facility is equipped with the following: Two class-C ORs, new GE monitors and anesthesia machines, crash cart, malignant hyperthermia cart, central air/medical gasses, central suction generator and battery backup power, emergency transfer agreement with Legacy Emanuel.

Patients can relax in the family-friendly waiting room with bean-bag chairs, children’s books, and recliner seats for mom and dad. The facility also offers a private consultation room with video interpretation for non-English speaking families and bright, open pre- and post-op areas available to parents before and after surgery.
